Customer comment! On the First Edition, Ady said: "Can't wait to see all the Margo Pattern costumes on parade this year. They have already changed the way many people look at their garb. Fear not! These patterns are fun to work up. And just think, Margo has done all/or most the research for you! Now there's no excuse not to do it right. "

At last, a pattern ensemble that gives you all the pieces neccesary to make a complete Elizabethan costume! No more buying separate patterns for each piece. No more patterns with narrow ranges of choice in style. No more spending your valuable sewing time making your own patterns.

Historic Costume Patterns' Elizabethan Lady's Ensemble is just that, an entire wardrobe. The various parts have been designed from the beginning to work together, eliminating the problems in styling and sizing that result from mixing sources. By varying the styles and materials used, these patterns are suitable for social classes ranging from personal servants or merchants up to nobility and royalty.

This ensemble comprises three packages, designed from the beginning to work together: The Elizabethan Lady's Underpinnings, The Elizabethan Lady's Wardrobe, and The Elizabethan Accessories. (The Elizabethan Accessories package includes ruffs, hats, and similar accessories for use by men as well, and is also designed to work with our upcoming Elizabethan Gentleman's pattern).

The patterns were designed with a high level of historical accuracy by a professional costumer with over twenty years' experience. The usual guesswork and misinterpretation has been replaced by years of extensive research, backed by practical experience designing and constructing award-winning historic costumes. Designed with the intermediate to expert costumer in mind, this package is ideal for Renaissance Faire costumes, historical reenactors, and theatrical companies.

All of our pattern packages are multi-sized from 2 to 30. Four separate drafts were made and graded to avoid distorting the fit and proportions of the garments.

Each pattern package comes with extensive instructions and documentation -- including detailed discussion of extant specimens, how they were made and worn, materials and techniques of the period, and the modern equivalents you can use to achieve the closest possible results.

Our patterns were developed using a computerized drafting and grading system, to ensure accuracy of fit and consistency between sizes. This was followed by an extensive program of testing and feedback to ensure usability, simplicity, and ease of construction. The new Second Editions incorporate errata and feedback from our customers to make them better than ever.

These are, quite simply, the best Elizabethan patterns ever offered to the public at any price -- and our customers all agree. The fact that all three packages are available at these low prices makes them a stunning bargain.

Customer comment! On the First Edition, Shelley wrote to say: "Also wanted to praise Margo for the excellent package. I have never seen a set of patterns put together with such care and accurate detail, and yet still be so easy to understand. THANK YOU! "

Consider spending hundreds of dollars on fabrics, trims, and notions. Consider the many hours spent assembling and fitting an extraordinary costume project. Now consider the price of starting with the right patterns -- $90 -- compared with the yards of wastage and hours of frustration you can easily spend trying to correct some other patterns on the market. There is really no reason at all not to start with the very best.

Customer comment! Lalah says: "Yea - happy dance, my patterns arrived today. Margo, they are wonderful and for the number of items a real bargain. At the price of simple commercial patterns today, yours are a major bang for the buck."

Special offer! Now, order all FOUR packages -- the Ladies's Underpinnings, Wardrobe, and the Accessories, PLUS THE GENTLEMEN'S WARDROBE -- for a combined price of $135, plus $9.30 shipping and handling inside the US! See our Order page to take advantage of this offer.
